Elena Renda

M. Elena Renda is an IT researcher within the WiNeMA Research Team at IIT - CNR in Pisa, Italy, and from 2016 she is also a visiting scholar the JTL lab. She holds the Laurea Degree in Computer Science from the University of Pisa, and the Ph.D. Degree in Information Engineering from the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna di Studi Universitari e di Perfezionamento in Pisa. 

She started her research career working within the Information Retrieval field, to later include P2P and Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks, Wireless Mesh Community Networks, and efficient and scalable algorithms for Bioinformatics applications. She is currently actively (and enthusiastically!) involved in several projects related to Intelligent Transportation Systems and Smart Cities, working in particular on new mobility paradigms (i.e. sharing mobility) and their social effects.
